Cornerstone is a three acre family farm on Vashon Island, in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. Currently we share the farm with forty chickens and three dairy cows (Jersey and Milking Shorthorns). We work year round with the assistance of a St. Bernard and two farm cats. Our goal is to respect the land first as all life begins in the soil. The animals are moved often to encourage fertility of the pasture. We are members of the King Conservation District and have recently installed a large compost system to utilize all the benefits of composted manure. Our vegetable garden and small orchard are tended without the use of chemicals and with respect to permaculture ideals. Our dairy cows are grass fed and supplemented with organic alfalfa pellets, kelp and free choice minerals. Having the farm continues to teach us new and unexpected lessons for which we are thankful! We appreciate your support!
